Academics

Pritzker College Prep has dedicated itself to preparing students to graduate from top-tier colleges by providing a rigorous academic curriculum and strict character development. To that end, at a minimum we require students to take the equivalent of six years of math and language arts, four years of science (including two years of lab work), four years of foreign language study, and at least two advanced placement courses.

We plan to offer over 10 advanced placement classes – one of the largest offerings for its size in the city. Currently, almost half of our sophomores take A.P. Psychology in preparation for their first A.P. exam.

At a more competitive level, we offer the opportunity to participate in our Early College Scholars program. Our ECS program is designed to best position our students at highly competitive universities and colleges in the areas of academics, cultivation of passions, and extracurricular involvement. ECS’s accelerated academic and cultural development requirements include:

Accelerated and Rigorous Academics
  • Maintain a minimum B+ G.P.A.
  • Complete at least four AP classes.
  • Complete at least one college course.
Cultivation of Passions
  • Participate in internships.
  • Encounter college campuses, admissions officers, and students.
  • Explore potential college majors and career paths.
  • Participate in networking events with professional organizations.
Extended and Enhanced Extracurricular Activities
  • Engage in additional community service hours.
  • Participate in educational enrichment summer activities – one at a college campus.
  • Participate in a minimum of two extra-curricular activities per year.
